Hard work getting started

To start a kindergarten is not an easy task!

My sister is working hard to get a place, go through CV's and working on some logistics behind everything. I'm working from my apartment in China to set up a curriculum of some sort and a schedule for both daily routines and for the personnel of the Preschool.

Then we also have a Crowdfunding Campaign that's running to help us cover the down payment of the property, that's if the Crowdfunding Campaign can get some momentum. Currently, we have 3 backers that donated $25 and $14 offline, so a total of $39.

I also just readjusted the curriculum to support our 3 term schedule. I had to remove 3 topics since we wanted to work on a 12 topic system, but that would have been adjusted anyway if we were going to use the 4 term schedule.

We chose 3 terms to make it easier for the parents to schedule long vacations or when we do culture immersion programs.

Bos-Paradys website Update

Website updated

We have a more professional website now. It has his own propper URL and everything.
Please take some time to check it out. Also please be patient with it, it might be slow.

Thanks for your support.

##previous post##

So my mother's website was once again updated; I added a few things, like live chatting.

I tweaked a few things on the website, I would love some feedback.

Please click here to go to the website, for those who don't know my mother has a backpacker/hostel in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. I am managing the website for now using a free hosted website. I have already bought the domain name but we are still considering the hosting website.

Please feel free to post comments on this post that you think needs to change on the website.

Shame upon you(by 'you' I mean 'me')

I don't even know where to begin...

Firstly, I want to apologize for not being an active blogger. I guess I like the idea of blogging more than actual blogging, not that I don't like blogging I'm just clearly bad at it.

Secondly, I want to ask all the readers out there that do read this really bad blog to check something out.

This is what my current situation looks like; I am working with my sister to create a new concept school. We want to open a multi-lingual (pre)school in South Africa. The preschool will teach 4 languages; Mandarin, English, Afrikaans, and Zulu. We want to bridge the gap in the community where young learners don't know how to work with money and also we want to help young learners be better people by creating an environment where they can learn about different cultures and have respect for different people.

To get this school up-and-running we need to have money to get a property, this is where you, my devoted reader, comes in. I want to challenge you to donate towards this cause. I know, you are probably thinking, "Why should I donate to someone I don't know, to a 'cause' that doesn't even concern me?", but I all I want is your time to read our story and see if you can help us to make this dream a reality.

The link to our crowdfunding campaign is here.

Lunch at NCC Bali

It was funny, no one was in the restaurant until I entered, then it was packed. A real full house.

Not bad, but they can approve.
The first surprise I had was the milkshakes do not contain ice-cream, only the ice chocolate cream had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

I started with garlic bread, which was okay. I do think that they should heat the plate, that way the bread will not gather moisture underneath.

I ordered Koloke as my main dish, if one can call it such. It was basically chicken pops in a sweet chilli sauce. There was some communication difficulty.

I am not sure if the waiters even know what the menu entail. Either the menu is wrong or the waiters don't know what it is.

I ordered the Jeruk Nipis Hangat before I left. I loved it, it's basically hot lemonade.

My overall experience was... 6.5/10

2nd Hotel in Bali

So I checked in at Asana Agung Putra at 14:05 after a 6min phone call to ask for directions. I arrived at my room and fell asleep.

Sitting next to the pool, I just ordered their special for the day which is a Chicken Steak Sandwich. This will be a late lunch for today.
