What a day!

So I started my second TP, Teaching Practice, at Menlo Park High-school today.

I was late, late for the students' meeting with the head of students at the school.

I was on my way and ended up on the wrong side of road, so I could not enter the school. I decided to turn around at the garage near the school, so when I drove by I saw the gate was closed.

So I drove pass, dumb I know, with no other entrance I needed to drive all the way around the school to get back to the main gate. Not as easy as it sound with the learners being dropped off at school.

When I got back to the gate I decided to just drive up and see what happens, and you know what, it opened up. Faked at a opening, grabbed my bag and jumped out of the car just to let the students coming back to their cars.

They were told where to park, and I missed it. "I am just going to follow them" I told myself. Got in the car and started driving the same route as I did previously, around the school.

When we finally got into the ground after multiple phone calls some of us headed to the sraff room, like we knew where that was, so I asked a learner. The school is so big!

All that before 7:15!

We had our meeting in the staff room and headed to the hall for opening ceremony.

After that we met up with our HOD's and split up. We LO students went to our HOD, who is a wonderful lady, always smiling. After a meeting with her she took us to our mentor teacher for this term.

I got the famous Rooies, apparently he is a real 'stoutgat' but he looks really nice. Maybe a bit all-over-the-place but nice.

I only saw him twice today and the rest of the time I studied the grade 11 textbook for the kahoot questions.
